Best Sommelier of the World 2019
Marc Almert, born in Cologne in 1991, won the title Best Sommelier of the World in 2019 in Antwerp. From 2017 he led the wine program at Pavillon, the restaurant of the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich, and he now heads the Zurich wine merchant Baur au Lac Vins.
